Multnomah County Asthma/Housing Program
Welcome to the Multnomah County Health Department Asthma Intervention
and Housing programs - AIR, CAIR or Healthy Homes. From this website
you can make a referral to our programs. We will screen the application
and enroll the participant in the most appropriate program. There is no
cost for any of our programs. Only Multnomah County residents are
eligible for these programs.
AIR is a one time environmental home inspection program for
children with asthma who have a medical provider. There is no income
limit for this program.
CAIR is a program for families under 80% of the Median Family
Income or 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. There must be children in
the family. At least one family member must have an environmentally
related health problem. This program does not require that you have a
medical provider or asthma. The program will provide a variety of
services including home assessments and improvements, repair, and
nursing case management based on the needs of the family.
Healthy Homes is a program for children with asthma who are being
seen by a medical provider. This program includes nursing case
management and visits by a Community Health Worker to eliminate asthma
triggers in your home. Eligible families must be under 200% of
the Federal Poverty Level or on Oregon Health Plan.
If you have questions or need additional information, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call Multnomah County Environmental Health at
